Detailed Itinerary – Har Ki Doon Trek

Day 1: Rishikesh to Sankri (Drive – 240 km / 8 hours)
We begin our journey early in the morning from Rishikesh, heading towards the charming village of Sankri – the base camp for the Harkidun trek. The scenic 240 km drive takes us through the heart of Uttarakhand, passing picturesque valleys, riverbanks, and quaint mountain villages. On arrival, check into our guesthouse and relax with a warm meal. The rest of the evening is free to rest, acclimatize, and prepare for the adventure ahead.

Day 2: Sankri – Taluka (Drive) | Taluka to Osla (Trek – 13 km / 6–7 hours)
After an early breakfast, we drive to Taluka, a traditional village nestled deep in the hills. From here, our trek begins. Following a scenic trail alongside the river and through pine forests, we gradually ascend to Osla, a remote village known for its warm-hearted locals and distinctive wooden architecture. Osla is the last inhabited village on this route. We set up camp amidst the serenity of the valley and end the day with a hearty dinner and an optional evening yoga/meditation session.

Day 3: Osla to Harkidun (Trek – 11 km / 6–7 hours)
Today’s trek takes us deeper into the wilderness. The trail follows the Supin River and then climbs gradually through lush alpine meadows and forest stretches. As we approach Harkidun Valley, stunning views of Hata Peak and surrounding snow-capped mountains unfold. On reaching the campsite beside a glacial stream, we relax, soak in the majestic landscape, and unwind with some gentle stretching or meditation. Overnight in tents under a star-lit sky.

Day 4: Harkidun – Osla (Trek – 11 km / 5–6 hours)
After enjoying a peaceful morning in the valley, we begin our descent back to Osla. For adventurous trekkers, there’s an optional early morning hike to Jaunhdar Glacier or Maninda Tal (based on group interest and weather). The return journey offers a fresh perspective of the trail. On reaching Osla, we settle back into our campsite, enjoy a wholesome meal, and close the day with another optional yoga or meditation session.

Day 5: Osla – Taluka (Trek – 13 km / 5–6 hours) | Drive to Sankri
We trek back to Taluka, retracing our steps through the pine forests and mountain paths. From Taluka, a short drive brings us back to Sankri, where we check into the guesthouse. After days in the wilderness, a warm shower and a hot meal will feel especially rewarding. Evening at leisure to relax and share stories from the trail.

Day 6: Sankri to Rishikesh (Drive – 240 km / 8 hours)
After breakfast, we start our journey back to Rishikesh, driving through the scenic Garhwal region. We reach by evening, marking the end of a memorable trekking experience in the heart of the Himalayas.
