Rishikesh River Rafting 2025-26 Season Begins – Adventure Awaits on the Ganga
The waiting game is finally over! Rafting is open in rishikesh now has commenced officially from 27th September 2025, restoring the thrill and adventure on the sacred Ganga River. Why Rafting in Rishikesh Was Postponed This Year?
Generally, rafting in Rishikesh begins by 15th September every year. But in 2025, heavy monsoon rains resulted in the water level of the Ganga increasing more than normally, making rafting unsafe.
The Uttarakhand Tourism Rafting Management Committee had suspended rafting officially from 24th June 2025. Rafting had opened last year on 24th September, but this year, because of prolonged monsoons, it opened a few days later on 27th September 2025.
