Kaly Negi - Founder Explorer & Trekker
An avid adventurer, a local born in the Himalayas in the region of Chamoli. His village in Chamoli is surrounded by famous trek routes, so he has grown up watching very closely all aspects of nature.
He started at a very early age. Leaving behind the family legacy of joining the Indian Army, he chose to do what his heart sought to do – being close to nature.
Being a natural athlete, he chose to combine nature and fitness, venturing into the world of adventure. He has done on-the-ground learning for every minute thing involved in treks, biking trips, river expeditions — whether it be new routes, safety gear, or even some tasty cooking.
He is your all-in-one person. He has built his outfit and trained his peers based on the same principles. He has the ability to make you feel at home away from home.
He has a humane and passionate approach where he provides you with experiences, rich interactions with locals, and takes care of all living beings as you make your journey.
He has an eye for the ‘far’ — so do not miss the birds he spots.
Ankush Rawat - Senior trekker
He is born in Rudraprayag, Garhwal – belonging to the Uttarakhand region. He started at a very early age to join the world of adventure. He has received his on-ground training from Kaly (Founder) himself. A very hardworking boy who has successfully done many complex trips and expeditions.
He started leading treks and groups from a very early age. He has led numerous satisfying trips, which are well complimented by our guests and their reviews.

Saurabh Chaturvedi – Operations Manager
Saurabh Chaturvedi is a B.Tech graduate and a software engineer by training, with a strong passion for trekking, travel, and cultural exploration. His love for the mountains and meeting people from different countries and cultures naturally led him into the adventure travel industry.
With over 2 years of experience at Mapping The Himalayas, Saurabh plays a key role in managing operations, client coordination, marketing, and trip planning. He handles most client queries and online communication, ensuring smooth planning and clear coordination from the first inquiry to the completion of the journey.
Coming from a technical background, he brings a strong problem-solving mindset and structured planning approach. He specializes in customizing trekking and travel itineraries based on each client’s interests, travel style, and plans, ensuring personalized and well-organized experiences.
Passionate, detail-oriented, and people-focused, Saurabh works behind the scenes to make every trek and journey seamless and memorable.
