Kotli Bhel Trek - An Overview
The Kotli Bhel Trek, often called the Mini Gartang Gali of Rishikesh, is an ancient trail that leads to the holy sites in the Himalayas. This route, once used by pilgrims, offers a glimpse into the region’s past and takes trekkers through scenic mountain landscapes. The trek starts at Kaudiyala or Mahadev Chatti, both close to Rishikesh, and passes through rocky paths and lush forested areas along the Ganga River, with awe-inspiring views of the river and valleys below. It is still being discovered and provides a one day trekking opportunity amidst the mountains and the beautiful Ganges river. One hikes down for about 7 kms , encountering waterfall on the way, then crossing a wooden bridge and reaching the shore of the Ganges. The walk is along the Ganges river and hike back is the same way.
